Uintah School District Notes Change To Curbside Meals, Recognizes Students

After a much needed Fall break, Uintah School District started Monday with a District update. Important announcements to note: There will be no in-person school option for elementary and middle school students this Friday, October 22nd. All K through 8th students will need to attend classes remotely. The Free Curbside Meal program has changed due to low participation. Starting November 1st, curbside meal pickups will only be available at Ashley Elementary School rather than at schools throughout the District. Finally, the District recognized students for a variety of reasons, one of which was to highlight a unique annual event. Uintah Middle School holds a mini triathlon, dubbed the Hawk-a-thon, each fall during school hours. The athletic event starts with swimming at the rec center and ends after a bike and run to Uintah Middle School. The 6th grade winners were Isabelle Lawson and Shane Stringham; The 7th grade winners were Sadie Rhoades and Kyle Hadlock; And the 8th grade winners were Eliza Averett and Carter Rimmasch. Congratulations to these and all the students recognized by the District.
