The regular season for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association is winding down and they have released the standings. Sitting in the top fifteen all-around cowboys are three Utahnns and two locals making it in the big time. In 7th place is Rhen Richards from Roosevelt who took in nearly $93,000 in earnings. Just behind him in 8th place is Josh Frost from Randlett with nearly $81,000 in earnings. The only other Utahn in the ranking, Stetson Wright from Milford, is in the number 1 seat with earnings of over $320,000. Richard is a family man still remembered in the Uintah Basin for his years playing football as the quarterback at Union High after which he was offered major college football scholarships in 2008 but he chose rodeo. Frost is a third-generation PRCA Uintah Basin cowboy and is a second-cousin to the late Lane Frost, the world champion bull rider featured in the movie ‘8 Seconds’.
