It was a night of much deserved recognition at the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office annual awards banquet held
on Wednesday night
at the Centennial Events Center. Lt. John Crowley gave the keynote address and Sheriff Travis Tucker handed out the awards to deputies, staff, volunteers, and community partners. Corrections Sgt. Bryant Cook earned the Correctional Officer of the Year Award.Deputy Tim Adams earned the Interdiction Officer of the Year Award. Deputy Jeff Kearney earned the Outstanding Performance Award. Cpl. Derrick Kearney earned the Officer of the Year Award. Sgt. Jason Curry earned the Top Gun Award for the Corrections Division. Cpl. Daniel Bulow earned the
Top Gun
Award for the Patrol Division. Corrections Deputy Austin Giles earned the Outstanding Performance Award. Lifesaving awards were presented to Corrections deputies Jordan Thompson, Curtis Murphy and Justin Clyde for their response to a medical emergency in the jail. Cpl. Derrick Kearney and Sgt. Carl Reilley received Lifesaving awards for separate incidents where their administration of Narcan saved the lives of three people who were overdosing. Pastor Dee Cairoli received the Community Partner Award for his support of the sheriff’s office and local law enforcement.
Uintah Basin Communications
received the Community Partner Award. Duchesne County Jail Kitchen Supervisor Jerry Kelly received the Sheriff’s Special Appreciation Award. Kelly is retiring at the end of March after more than 20 years of service. Evidence Clerk Katie Busack was awarded Office Civilian Staff of the Year. Nurse Jana Clyde was awarded Corrections Civilian Staff of the Year. Chris Oborn was awarded the Community Partner Award and APB Arms was awarded the Sheriff’s Office Support Award.
