There is plenty to see and do here in the Uintah Basin and as such there are few people that have seen or done it all. In an effort to get the community and people visiting the area engaged in the variety of places to explore, the Uintah County Travel and Tourism Department is offering free day trips every Wednesday starting on June 9th. The trips will be guided tours by local experts to places like McConkie Ranch, the new Cottonwood Reservoir, Moonshine Arch, the historic Jarvie Ranch, Steinaker State Park at night, and the Jones Hole Fish Hatchery. If a person attends five of the trips they are invited to come to the Red Fleet State Park Swimming and Paddle Party on July 21st. The start time for each event varies so be sure to double check times the day before. Remember that those attending will be driving their own car and need to plan gas accordingly. It is recommended that attendees bring meals and snacks, wear hiking boots and bring plenty of water.
