There was a substantial loss of property in a fire on Friday in Uintah County. The smoke could be seen for several miles from the structure fire in the area of 2500 South and 3200 East, the structure being described as a tractor shed. According to Naples Fire Chief Brett Reynolds, the building and equipment involved were a complete loss. “The location was isolated, so the structure and equipment were fully engulfed before someone quite a ways away called it in,” explains Reynolds. “Fire crews were on scene for about 4 hours as water had to be shuttled in from quite a ways away. Thankfully nobody was injured.” The cause is under investigation, shares Reynolds, and the loss has not yet been determined but was substantial.
