Ashley National Forest Update on Red Cloud Loop and Other Roads

by | May 21, 2021 | News | 0 comments

Ashley National Forest has provided some updates on roads with the request for all to stay safe while traveling forest roads. Ashley National Forest shared on Thursday that Red Cloud Loop (Forest Road 018) is fully passable with a 4×4 vehicle. “Expect snow and ice in patches between the South Fork of Ashley Creek and the Dry Fork Overlook, and wet surfaces throughout in shady areas. The road to Hacking Lake is passable to just before Big Park, and large, deep drifts of snow prohibit travel beyond that point. It is likely not passable for another few weeks. The White Cloud Loop’s (Forest Road 020) gates will remain closed at East Park Reservoir as snow clears.” Be smart and make safety the top priority!
