Uintah County Moves Down, Duchesne County Bumps Up on COVID-19 Transmission Index (5/6 – 5/12)

Uintah County has now swapped places with Duchesne County on the COVID-19 Transmission Index. As of May 6th, Uintah County shifted down to the low level while Duchesne County bumped back up to the moderate transmission level, all while Daggett County remains at the low level. According to Thursday’s press release, Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 4 percent and there were 34 cases in the past 14 days, Duchesne County was 5 percent and there were 26 cases, and Daggett County was 0 percent and there was 1 case. Over the past 7 days, the tri-county area as a whole had 3 COVID-19 related hospitalizations and 1 new COVID-19 related death. Statewide total ICU utilization was 69 percent and the 7-day COVID-19 utilization was 11 percent.
