The Ute Indian Tribe Water Systems Department announced Wednesday that they are enacting water restrictions. Water Systems Assistant Director Jenna Reed made the announcement stating first a notice that 50 homes on the Uriah Heap system are experiencing low pressure or no water due to low peak and drought. There is no bacteria in the water but there is low volume of water in the main service line so they are working to bring alternate water sources on line. Water is being provided for those without water including water dispensers being distributed to the senior citizens as a priority. White Rocks and the Fort Duchesne communities are not affected and are being treated as normal, shared Reed, who also announced that as of Wednesday, the Ute Indian Tribe is enacting water restrictions. This means no watering lawns or livestock at this time and all are asked to help conserve water.
