It’s that time of year again! Uintah County is sponsoring the annual free landfill week from April 24th through May 1st. “This is a great opportunity for residents to take advantage of the landfill at no cost,” shares Uintah County. “Uintah County residents are encouraged to participate. Residents can do their part by simply cleaning up around their own property or by joining together to clean up around their community.” A few things to note include: Unsecured or uncovered loads will be charged double the regular price. Batteries and hazardous waste need to be reported to the landfill staff at the entrance. Refrigerators cost $20 for the freon removal. And tires are limited to 4 per load. Uintah County Landfill is open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm. Lapoint Landfill and K&K Sanitation are also available during select hours.
