In case you haven’t noticed, the artists behind the large scale murals around Vernal are back at it! Thanks to a partnership between Uintah County Travel and Tourism and local business owners there are 5 new massive murals that were painted in just the last month. Artists Jordan Clark of Ninty1 Designs (91 Designs), Tonya Merrell of TM Art, and Celissa Hatch have painted a turtle mural on the Pro Shop, a bear mural on The Country Bear, a mural of Split Mountain and a mural of a flag and eagle both on the Basin Sports building, and a mural of scenery highlights of Uintah County painted on Little B’s. The feedback has been positive and this is just the beginning for what they have in store for 2021. “We are amazed by the response we have had to painting murals!” shares mural artist Tonya Merrell. “We feel so lucky to be doing something that we love. Our favorite part of painting is when people take the time to stop and let us know how much they love seeing the murals through town.” This talented group already has around 40 more jobs lined up  with new jobs coming in all the time. When asked if they have a favorite mural, Tonya said it’s too tough to choose because they are excited about and love every one of them.
