A local group of high achieving teens have set a great example of service in the community. The Uintah High School National Honor Society chapter recently participated in two service projects. “Volunteers collected donated food Saturday from throughout the community as part of the statewide Feed Utah food drive. Loads of food were dropped off at the Ashley Valley Food Pantry where Uintah National Honor Society students and others helped to sort and organize the items,” shares Uintah School District. “They worked with local food bank personnel and the directors of Just Serve. More than 25 students came together to help with this project. While some students worked at the food pantry, other Uintah National Honor Society students were serving the community at the Uintah County Library. The students helped facilitate a piano festival held by the Vernal Chapter of the National Federation of Music Clubs.” Thank you to these awesome youth for setting such a great example in our community.
