It is very fitting that the Boy Scouts of America’s motto is Be Prepared as David Semadeni has furthered the motto through his Eagle project. Through discussions with his neighbor, a teacher at Maeser Elementary, he learned that the school’s emergency buckets were needing a replenishment of supplies. He then talked with the principal and got permission to inventory and refill the buckets. David explained, “I started by going around the school with my dad and my brother and going through every single bucket. I made a list of what was there and what was missing. I met with the teachers. That’s where I got the suggestion to add Dum Dums (lollipops) to the buckets.” They also suggested that the buckets have some simple game ideas to help keep disruptions at the school. 36 buckets containing basic emergency supplies like a flashlight, a small tarp, emergency blankets, a first aid kit, hand sanitizer, bottles of water, and now game kits were restocked and placed in the classrooms on March 11th.
