All in eastern Utah and Western Colorado are urged to be part of  an effort being called ‘Weather Ready Nation’. National Weather Service out of Grand Junction is our region authority and with the return of spring, their office is reminding all that the chance for flooding, flash flooding, and even wildfires has suddenly increased. It is also the beginning of Flood Safety and Wildfire Awareness Week, which runs through Saturday, March 13th. “You should know your risks and make your plans to improve your outcomes,” shares the Grand Junction headquarters. “The National Weather Service wants everyone in the United States to be a part of a Weather-Ready Nation…You should be weather alert and weather-ready, knowing how to stay safe when floods and wildfires affect your area.” Visit www.weather.gov/grnadjunction or weather.gov/safety for information on our region and how to stay safe and prepare.
