TriCounty Health Officer COVID-19 Update: Extra Vaccines This Week

by | Mar 3, 2021 | News | 0 comments

TriCounty Health Director Kirk Benge caught up with Amy in the Eagle Country 105.5 FM studio this week with an update on COVID-19 and local vaccination efforts. “We have extra doses this week that we weren’t anticipating last week so we opened up more appointment spots,” shared Benge. Those interested can visit the website and click on the COVID-19 link and register for an appointment. Those 65 and older are invited to get vaccinated. Utah has also opened vaccination up to 16 and older with certain underlying health conditions but TriCounty Health can only vaccinate those 18 and over because they only have the Moderna vaccine. It is possible to get the other vaccine that is approved for 16 and older by scheduling an appointment with another health district. Benge also shared that TriCounty Health is looking at potential future one-day vaccination events in Tabiona and Duchesne. For the latest on local vaccination efforts, visit www.tricountyhealth.com
