Driver in Fatal Highway 40 Crash Identified

The driver killed over the weekend in a Highway 40 crash has been identified. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the deceased driver has been identified as 54-year-old Robert Hoff of Fort Duchesne. The accident happened on Saturday, January 30th, at approximately 6:19 pm. UHP reported that a small passenger sedan driven by Hoff had crossed from the westbound traffic lane into the eastbound traffic lane where it collided with a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck is expected to recover. Hoff was pronounced dead at the scene. Our condolences to all mourning this loss at this time.
