Among the many items on their Monday agenda, the Uintah County Commission went over the Special Service Districts budget allocation. Projecting the 2021 budget based on the 2020 mineral lease allocations, Commissioners estimate the 2021 budget at $10 million dollars. The breakdown of the budget between the Special Service Districts came out as follows: $1 million dollars to the Health District. $754,000 dollars to the Animal Control District. $3 million dollars to the Uintah Recreation District. $1.5 million dollars to the Uintah Fire District. $1.1 million dollars to the Impact Mitigation District. And the remaining balance of mineral lease funding will be allocated to the Uintah Transportation Special Service District.
