For those that love to get out on Steinaker Reservoir for some ice fishing take note. Fish in the reservoir are being tagged for the upcoming Ice Addiction Tournament Series. Fisheries biologist Natalie Boren has a message for anglers that plan to fish Steinaker this week. “If you catch a tagged fish during this time period PLEASE RETURN the fish to the water,” shares Boren. “No prizes will be awarded for a tagged fish caught from Steinaker until the scheduled tournament. If you do catch a tagged fish during Ice Addiction, Utah Trout Unlimited and SFW have donated an awesome prize!” If you are trying to release a tagged fish and it is not able to swim away, snap a photo or record the tag number and call 435-781-9453.
