The Surface Transportation Board’s Office of Environmental Analysis is nearing the end of their timeline to collect public comments concerning the proposed Uinta Basin Railway and tomorrow evening is the final of six online public meetings for the public to tune in to. The Seven County Infrastructure Coalition submitted the proposal for an approximate 85-mile rail line to connect the Uinta Basin to the existing interstate rail network. Tomorrow’s public meeting runs from 6 to 8pm and those wishing to provide oral comments must register to attend and can link through www.UintaBasinRailwayEIS.com. Comments can also be submitted electronically through the website. All can listen to Thursday’s meeting as it will be broadcast live on Newstalk KVEL AM920 and 104.5 FM. Preliminary commentary will be provided starting at 5:30pm by Coalition Executive Director Mike McKee with discussion hosts Mike Stengel and James Costello.
