With cases still rising in the TriCounty Health District all are asked to be diligent in efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Uintah School District has asked the community to please help keep schools open for in-person attendance. If your student feels sick, is waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test or has been told to quarantine due to exposure to a positive case, please have your student stay home. Uintah High School informed parents and guardians on Sunday that for the next two weeks families can choose how their Uintah High students participate in school, no questions asked. Any student is allowed to choose between in-person and remote learning on a day-to-day basis. There are currently 10 cases of COVID-19 at Uintah High School and if that number reaches 15 it could affect the in-person learning option. The hope is that allowing students to stay home and do their work will “reduce the density of students at UHS and will increase the likelihood of keeping our high school open for in-person attendance.” For details on how this will work, visit www.uintah.net and click on the News tab.
