What was the experience like to watch the legend
Elvis Presley
enter the draft for World War II? Probably nothing like the hilarious musical

Bye Bye Birdie

, but it was the true event that inspired the story. Come and enjoy the comedic mishaps at Vernal Theater: LIVE as songwriter Albert Peterson tries to find a way to make another hit before his “Elvis”, Conrad Birdie, heads off to war. His secretary and unsung girlfriend Rose Alvarez has the brilliant idea to write a song about Conrad’s last kiss and use a publicity stunt to sell the hit. A small town family surrounded by small town people get blasted by a big time personality as Albert is overwhelmed with the opportunity before him, the girlfriend that wants to be with him, and the mother that still wants to mother him. A massively talented local cast and director Jen Curtis has brought the story to life for the Vernal Theatre: LIVE Season 3 closer, opening
on April 12th.
