If there was some smoke coming from Argyle Ridge on Tuesday there is no need to be concerned. Ashley National Forest had made plans to burn slash piles yesterday, depending on if the weather was favorable and the fuel condition. Thankfully the weather cooperated and the pile burning of about 10 acres located in small sections along the road was complete. The burn removed piles of cut vegetation from a fire prevention effort project. “The fuel break is in concert with efforts being completed by the State of Utah that will provide additional protection for residents along the Argyle Ridge Road,” shared Ashley National Forest. There may be some burning coming up in the coming weeks on Reservation Ridge.
