While it is a challenging time, examples of love and generosity can be found. KLiC(pronounced Click) is a non-profit organization that has been helping local families for the last decade. KLiC stands for ‘Keeping Love In Communities’ and that is exactly what it does here in the Basin. It was created in honor of JoAnn Ivie Coil who passed away from cancer in 2008. The funds donated to KLiC are used to help Uintah Basin families suffering from cancer and other hardships. In a surprising and wonderful moment last Friday night at Duchesne High School’s last home football game, KLiC was the recipient of a very generous donation after being spotlighted by Strata Networks. A big check for $22,627 dollars was presented by Strata from their 2020 charity golf tournament. Co-Bank also donated a $10,000 dollar match in funding and the Duchesne High School football team raised $750 to add to the total through a STRATA gift for touchdowns made during home games this season. KLiC expressed on social media their continued gratitude for the generous surprise sharing that “these funds will go a long way to helping ease numerous families’ financial stress during such a scary time in their lives.”
