Parenting in 2020 has been pretty intense and the Uintah School District is offering a special webinar to help with the task. ‘Flying the Plane While Building It: Parenting in the Time of COVID-19’ is a free webinar for all parents, guardians and community members. The webinar is by Cathy Davis who has served as the Suicide Prevention Education Specialist for the Utah State Board of Education since 2015. She is certified with the American Association for Suicidology as a School Suicide Prevention Specialist. She will be offering information about new ways to help children develop and build resilience. The webinar will help attendees: “Learn strategies to support your child when they are stressed and tune into their emotions. Discover ways to understand and respond to the cause behind your child’s behaviors through a developmental and mental health lens. This training will offer solutions for social-emotional learning, discipline, and self-regulation.” The webinar will be a Zoom meeting on Wednesday, November 4th, at 6pm.
