TriCounty Health Department has shared concern over the increase in COVID-19 cases and Wednesday’s numbers added a big jump compared to what has been average growth. On October 21st, TriCounty Health Department added 21 cases to the overall COVID-19 positive cases which is a significant jump. Nine of those cases are in Uintah County while 12 are in Duchesne County for a total of 63 active cases in Uintah County and 40 active cases in Duchesne County. Fortunately, Daggett County has 0 active cases and no new cases joined the 6 active cases from the Ute Indian Tribe. The TriCounty Health District has had 345 positive cases overall to date. While there has been chatter on social media that several new cases have affected students at area schools. the official count on the Uintah School District website COVID-19 Dashboard remains at 7 total confirmed cases district wide to date. That Dashboard will be updated on Monday.
