Uintah County Sheriff’s Office issued the following press release Thursday morning: A 22 year-old Myton man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a tip led law enforcement to a stolen vehicle in Ballard. On Wednesday, law enforcement received a tip that a vehicle stolen last week was parked at a Ballard hotel. When law enforcement arrived, they made contact with a male, identified as 22 year-old Marshall Creekmore. Creekmore was detained while deputies investigated the incident. During the investigation, Creekmore was found to be responsible for taking a truck from a local business in Ballard last week. Evidence on scene also tied Creekmore to another stolen vehicle taken from another Ballard business late Tuesday night. That vehicle was found on fire south of Ballard early Wednesday morning. Creekmore was taken into custody and transported to the Uintah County Jail for investigation into two counts of vehicle theft, arson, and drug charges. The case is still under investigation.
