Let’s Talk: Uintah Basin Cancer Support Group Meeting This Thursday

by | Apr 9, 2019 | News | 0 comments

There is no need to struggle alone. That is the message of the ‘Let’s Talk: Uintah Basin Cancer Support Group’ that meets monthly rotating between Roosevelt and Vernal locations. “[This week] we will be reviewing what you can do in case you are evacuated due to flooding or fire,” shares group coordinator Cecilia Sullivan. “When you are receiving medical care, it is important to think ahead. We will also review help that is available in the basin for financial assistance and/ or house cleaning. We encourage people to share and ‘get the word out’ about our meetings.” The group welcomes those affected by cancer whether recently diagnosed, those receiving chemo and radiation, survivors, caregivers, and family members. “Our group only works when people come and add their stories to ours,” explains Sullivan. “With this mutual support, we all grow stronger.” This month’s meeting is being held
Thursday at 6pm
in Roosevelt at UBMC, Clinic 2, Level 3. Questions can be directed to
