TriCounty Health Department recently held their Flu ShootOut throughout four locations in the Basin. The Center for Disease Control states, “vaccine should be administered by the end of October, but vaccination should continue to be offered as long as influenza viruses are circulating locally and unexpired vaccines are available.” To be sure everyone in the Basin gets a chance for flu shots Uintah Basin Healthcare will be offering drive-thru flu shots at their Altamont Clinic. It will be taking place today, Tuesday, October 13th at the clinic from 8am to 6pm. Most insurances cover flu shots but if it does not or if an individual does not have insurance a shot is just $25 dollars. Just remember to wear a short sleeved shirt and to bring the insurance card.
