Get in the October spirit by watching the monster truck show that is coming to Vernal. Monster Trucks have been around since the late 1970’s when heavily modified pickup trucks were becoming popular and the sports of mud bogging and truck pulling were gaining in popularity. The trucks evolved in the 80’s, seeing things like the 48-inch tires to 66-inch tires and the monster trucks crush other cars to become the main event we see today. The Monster Trucks will be doing two shows at the Uintah County Western Park as part of the Nitro Tour. The trucks will compete in racing events, wheelie contests and then do some freestyle action. There are two shows Saturday, both having a Pit Party where guests can meet the drivers, get autographs, and take pictures. The first show is at 1:30pm with the Pit Party from 12pm to 1pm and the other show is at 7:30pm with Pit Party from 6pm to 7pm. It will be a lot of fun.
