A stolen motorcycle from Vernal found in Moffat County has lead to the arrest of a Vernal man. Craig Press reports that the Vernal Police Department contacted an officer in Moffat County to alert them that they were searching for a stolen motorcycle. Pictures of the motorcycle and the VIN were provided. Days later, officers in Moffat County saw a red motorcycle that matched the description in a front yard. The officers made contact with the man claiming to be the owner of the motorcycle and were shown the vehicle in which the officers were able to confirm the date on the bike and its VIN. 43-year-old Ricky Lee Degeorge of Vernal was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated motor vehicle theft — possession of a stolen vehicle. Ricky posted bond but failed to appear before the judge and now has a warrant issued for his arrest.
