The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources announced Wednesday that another record fish has been caught on Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Chance Scott was fishing the Gorge recently when he caught a 53 pound 15 ounce lake trout. The trout had a girth of 34.7 inches and a length of 44.1 inches. According to the DWR, Chance’s big catch displaces the previous 51 pound record from 1988. Interestingly enough the 1988 record was also caught on Flaming Gorge Reservoir.
