FBI Offering $12,500 Reward For Information on Suspect in Police Officer Assault

The FBI announced Thursday that they are offering a reward of up to $12,500 dollars for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an unidentified male who assaulted a police officer during the Salt Lake City protests on May 30th. During the protests that day, a man in the crowd threw a rock that hit a Salt Lake City police officer in the hand, causing severe injury. The suspect is described as a white male with shoulder-length brown hair and a brown beard wearing a dark baseball hat with a white rectangle on the front, reflective blue-green sunglasses, a blue tie-dye shirt, jeans, and a black and white bandana as a mask. He also has a small tattoo on his wrist. Anyone with information on this suspect is asked to call the FBI Field Office at 801-579-6187.
