It is an unfortunate but common occurrence for Moon Lake Electric to deal with vandalism of their equipment. Every year individuals decide that target practice should include Moon Lake Power Lines, Poles, transformers, or insulators. Moon Lake would like to remind people that “damage caused by vandals is not only costly, but dangerous as well.” This week a transformer was shot up and it will cost over $5,000 dollars to repair. Another thing to note is that Moon Lake Electric is a co-op so that any damage that happens is paid by all to repair. If you have any information on the vandalism, please contact Moon Lake Electric.
