by | Jul 16, 2020 | News | 0 comments

Plans to reopen schools are forming and so TriCounty Health Department reminds the Uintah Basin that children need to have their immunizations updated. Specifically those that are entering 7th grade and Kindergarten. Kindergarteners will need some additional doses of some vaccines and the flu vaccine is recommended. As children age into adolescents, childhood vaccines wear off and need to be extended, as well as a need to protect from additional infections. Three essential vaccines offered for your 7th grader are Human Papillomavirus vaccine (HPV), Meningococcal Conjugate vaccine, and Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (Tdap).  Anyone that needs more information should contact the TriCounty Health Department.
