Crews are battling a fire that started Monday in Duchesne County. According to Utah Fire Info, federal and local firefighters responded to the Abbott Fire in Duchesne County. “The fire is burning in the right fork of Indian Canyon about 10 miles southwest of Duchesne,” shares Utah Fire Info. “Firefighters suspect lightning caused the fire. It has burned about 20 to 30 acres, according to the air attack pilot. No structures are threatened at this time.” On Monday at 7:30pm, crews reported that they were able to establish an anchor point at the heel of the fire and have begun construction of a containment line along the fire’s flank. At that time, the Abbott Fire was considered 0 percent contained.
