The Gusher Highway 40 construction project is moving forward at a steady pace. Paving will start on Monday, July 13th and will continue throughout the week. The construction crews will be working Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm. The majority of paving will take place on the north side of Highway 40 with one day later in the week being spent on the southside. The improvements include adding an eastbound passing lane, center turn lane, and widening the shoulder areas. The Utah Department of Transportation reminds the public to slow down. There were two crashes last week within the Gusher construction site that, luckily, had no injuries to drivers or work crews. Stay alert, pay attention to signage, maintain safe following distance and remember the speed limit is 50 mph in the construction zones. The project is expected to go until the end of the year.
