‘Ballin’ 4 Burklee’ Softball Benefit Tournament Approaches

Softball enthusiasts have a great opportunity to play some ball and support a great cause at the end of the month. The Ballin’ 4 Burklee 5-man softball charity tournament will have a men’s and women’s division. The event was created to remember a precious life gone too soon. On April 4th, 2017, Shawn and Sierra Williams lost their daughter, Burklee Ann, while 30 weeks pregnant. During that difficult time, Brody’s Fund, the non-profit that helps families financially after a miscarriage or stillborn, stepped up to relieve some of the financial stress of their loss. Full of gratitude, the Williams began talking about fundraisers they could be part of to contribute to Brody’s Fund in order to help others. Less than a year later in December, the Williams lost another baby girl during pregnancy. Even though they were heartbroken, they still invested the time and loving energy into organizing a 5 Man Softball Tournament Fundraiser and Raffle to benefit Brody’s Fund. The tournament this year is at Roosevelt Constitution Park on July 31st through August 1st. Entry fee is $150 for those that sign up before July 14th when it will go to $200. There is a four game guarantee, raffle for Rozee, a homerun and hitting contest for $10 and concessions. Contact Shawn Williams at 435-650-7807 for more info.
