With a plan in place to adhere to COVID-19 safety recommendations, Vernal Theatre:LIVE is moving forward with a full schedule. Young hopefuls ages 8 to 16 auditioned on Monday night for this summer’s all youth production of The Wizard of Oz. Two full casts had their first rehearsal on Tuesday night and the show is scheduled to open July 30th. The theatre is also bringing back the Beginning Improv class starting this Saturday at 9am. The Disney Goes Broadway benefit concert is going forward Saturday, July 18th, at 7pm and auditions for the theatre’s Season 5 opener is taking place July 21st and 22nd. So what is the Season 5 opener and lineup? Season 5 opens with The Slipper and the Rose in September followed by The Dastardly Doctor Devereaux in October, White Christmas in December, Daddy Long Legs in January, Blithe Spirit in February, and The Sound of Music in April.
