The Utah Department of Health has partnered with Chamber organizations in Utah for their new ‘Stay Safe To Stay Open’ statewide campaign. Taking the Stay Safe to Stay Open pledge for businesses is an easy 3 steps: read and take the pledge, fill out a short form, and receive an email confirmation on how to obtain signage to display showing that your company has taken the pledge to Stay Safe to Stay Open. Businesses that make the pledge agree to practice 7 safe habits from the Utah Leads Together plan including conducting temperature checks before work and having employees stay home when sick, washing hands frequently, and practicing social distancing, among other habits. The Vernal Chamber is a distribution point for the campaign in the effort to assist the business community moving forward. “The main takeaway,” shares Chamber Director Joel Brown, “is to allow businesses to carry this important information in their storefronts and on their counters and reassure the public and our community of our role in Staying Safe to Stay Open. We all need to do our part and if we do it, we will have a dramatic affect on keeping the numbers low.” To sign up your business and get your materials, take the pledge at www.stayopenUtah.com.
