Uintah Basin’s social calendar is slowly starting to fill up with fun activities but such events still have unique issues and challenges to help them come into fruition. One such event was the Uintah Basin Medical Center Golf Classic, a fundraiser for Brody’s Fund. Such challenges include balancing the dynamics of a shotgun start but keeping everyone six feet apart, as well as, having breakfast and lunch without having gatherings. This prestigious event is known for prizes at every hole, delicious food, great registration prizes, and a ticket-worthy raffle. This event did not disappoint with great food and great prizes including $2600 to first place winners. Turn out could have been hurt by recent social events but that wasn’t the case. Maigen Zobell, Director of Marketing/PR for Uintah Basin Healthcare, shared that “with current circumstances, we were overwhelmed by the support we received for this year’s UBMC Golf Classic. Due to the generosity of approximately 250 golfers and amazing sponsors, we were able to raise $15,770 for Brody’s Fund. There is no place like the Basin when it comes to stepping up to help others. We are humbled and honored to serve this great community”
