An upcoming project at the Vernal Regional Airport has been several years in the making. Vernal Regional Airport shared on Friday that starting this week the project to move water off the airport will get underway. Planning has been in the works for almost 2 years now. BHI has the contract on the project and will start Wednesday, May 13th, and are anticipated to complete work near the end of June. “This project only requires a portion of the taxiway to be shut down, and a couple night closures of the runway,” shares the airport announcement. “We are working with the contractor to make sure this project has minimal effects on flight operations.” Those with questions are encouraged to reach out to the Vernal Regional Airport. Their main line is 435-789-3400.
