Construction crews are continuing the Gusher project on Highway 40. The work will alternate days of earthwork and on the water line between extending the concrete barrier on the south shoulder of Highway 40 eastward starting at 9500 East. The barrier will be worked on at night from 8pm to 7am. As of Tuesday, 9750 East will be closed to traffic until mid-June. Local traffic will need to use 10000 East throughout this time. For those residents that might be living on Highway 40 and have no access to their homes UDOT says that you can drive on the south side of the barrier in the construction zone until access is restored. Please note that the speed limit has been reduced to 50 miles per hour in the work zone.
