The annual Jarive Fest has been rescheduled for September but the folks behind the scenes of the John Jarvie Historic Site want the public to know that the site will soon be reopened to visitors. The BLM shared on Tuesday that the site will have a “soft open” on May 15th and more details will follow as they receive additional guidance and direction on how to proceed. Other positive things are also underway. The site has partnered with the ‘Utah State History’ organization to develop curriculums, produce an artifact catalogue, and a 3-D walkthrough of the John Jarvie Historic Site. Construction and improvements to the site have also been happening with construction anticipated to be complete by the fall.
