Dinosaur National Monument is now closed to all monument visitors until further notice. National Parks Service made the announcement on Friday stating that the decision was made due to the novel coronavirus. “Through traffic, but no stopping, will be allowed on roads in the monument that provide access to county roads, residences, leased lands and public lands managed by other agencies,” shares the NPS announcement. “All other roads and access points will be closed.” The Intermountain Natural History Association’s bookstore inside the Quarry Visitor Center is closed as well but the online store is still available (https://futuresite.inhaweb.com). Visit www.nps.gov for the latest public health updates from the National Park Service. They are modifying operations on a park-by-park basis working with the CDC and state and local health authorities.
