Stewart’s Marketplace in Roosevelt has utilized social media to answer questions from the community after they confirmed that one of their employees tested positive for COVID-19. Two videos that can be found on the Stewart’s Marketplace Roosevelt Facebook page provide the following information: The employee has not been in the store since Monday, April 6th. As soon as the employee was confirmed as positive, Stewart’s called a team in from Salt Lake to come and completely disinfect the store. This team specializes in infection control and the entire store has been sanitized using a food safe misting and fogging system from one end to the other. Stewart’s has been and continues to follow all CDC guidelines. The employee did not travel outside the area and is not a front line employee so had not had direct contact with any shoppers inside the store. Any Stewart’s team members that may have been exposed through the employee are now on a 14-day quarantine. They emphasized that it is safe to shop in the store. They also emphasized that it’s a smart practice to sanitize any products you bring into your home and always wash your produce. All are asked to follow the preventative measures outlined by the CDC and state of Utah. Anyone experiencing any symptoms of cough, fever, or shortness of breath are asked to stay home and shoppers are asked to please follow the recommendation of sending a minimum amount of people per household to shop for needs. The entire videos can be viewed on the Facebook page.
