Ashley Regional Medical Center is grateful for the ongoing support from the community and announced Tuesday that they are accepting donations of unused and handmade medical and protective supplies and equipment. “This move is part of Ashley Regional’s ongoing efforts to address the COVID-19 pandemic and prepare for increased needs of personal protective equipment (PPE), which healthcare providers across the nation are experiencing,” shares the announcement. The following equipment can be accepted: disposable face masks, respirator masks rated N95 or higher, face shields and goggles designed to protect eyes, disposable gowns, disposable non-latex gloves, disposable surgical caps/shower caps, disposable foot covers, antimicrobial wipes, hand sanitizer containing at least 60 percent alcohol. For now, Ashley Regional cannot accept medical devices, medications, or linens. Those wishing to donate are asked to call 435-781-6890 to arrange delivery. “Those able to donate handmade face masks are being asked to drop this specific item off in the mask drop-off bin located at the Emergency Department entry. Handmade masks are the only item that can be dropped off; all other donations must be arranged with Materials Management.”
