As the situation continues to develop rapidly, Superintendent David Brotherson is reminding all parents that they have the right to do what they feel is best for their students. “The first right is with the parent,” shared Brotherson during the school board meeting on Thursday night. “If you have a student who you believe is at risk or is compromised in any way, you should do what you believe is best for them. The district will be flexible in regard to the curriculum, grades, homework as we work through this… We’re all concerned,” continued Brotherson. “This is a very fluid situation. We’re monitoring it minute to minute.” Officials from the school district, county, and health department will meet today to discuss appropriate measures to protect students and the community, shares the District. The public will be informed of the results of that meeting when they are available.
