Presidential Primary Election Results for Uintah and Duchesne Counties

It was high local voter turnout for the Presidential Primary Election on Tuesday. The following is the local preliminary election results. Clerk/Auditor JoAnn Evans reports that Duchesne County had a voter turnout of 44.8 percent. 295 Democratic ballots were received in Duchesne County with the top candidates being Bernie Sanders with 74 votes, Joseph Biden with 72 votes, and Michael Bloomberg with 54 votes. 3,698 Republican ballots were received in Duchesne County with Donald Trump receiving 3,576 votes, Bill Weld receiving 60 votes, and Joe Walsh receiving 23 votes. Uintah County had a total voter turnout of 50.17 percent. 709 Democratic ballots were received in Uintah County with the top candidates being Bernie Sanders with 186 votes, Joseph Biden with 143 votes, Michael Bloomberg with 122 votes, and Elizabeth Warren with 90 votes. 6,301 Republican ballots were received in Uintah County with Donald Trump receiving  6,075 votes, Bill Weld receiving 96 votes, and Joe Walsh receiving 51 votes. These are preliminary results and the final results will be shared in the coming weeks after each county holds election canvassing.
