A Uintah High School student is among a prestigious group who will be representing Utah in a national contest. Jared Connelly is one of just five students in the state to be selected as a U.S. Presidential Scholar in Career and Technical Education. “Jared will now enter the national contest,” shares Uintah School District. “If he does well there, he will be awarded with an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C., where he will receive his medallion. Students are nominated based on: academic rigor, technical competence, ‘employability’ skills, and ingenuity, creativity and problem-solving ability. Being selected as a U.S. Presidential Scholar in Career and Technical Education is one of the nation’s highest honors for high school students.” Congratulations Jared Connelly on your great accomplishment and thank you for representing the Uintah Basin so well.
