USU Uintah Basin is doing something special to support, celebrate, and honor the women of the Uintah Basin with their Year of the Woman campaign. Each month will highlight women in categories ranging from Women’s Suffrage to Wellness & Nutrition. The category for January is Arts & Culture and the woman to be highlighted for week 2 is McKenna Christiansen. McKenna was nominated by her husband Mike Christiansen who shares that McKenna is a positive of example of proactive leadership and womanhood to local young women. She has also contributed countless hours of expertise and time to local theatre productions as not only a performer but also in building props and sets. Turns out she’s an amazing carpenter, shares Mike, as well as a priceless piece of our community.
