The Sterling Scholar program is meant to give recognition to students who show academic prowess. These outstanding students are judged not only on their GPA and class schedule, but also on their expertise in one of thirteen categories, their leadership experience, and their record of community service. Altamont’s Sterling Scholars for this year are Shalyce Gardner in Science, Ayla Myrin in Social Science, Hanna Myrin in Vocal Performance, Gracey Gardner in Agricultural Science, Kinly Panas in Dance, Shauri Thacker in English, Layla Jenson in Family and Consumer Sciences, and DeLanee Theener in Business and Marketing.
